The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MOPNG) approved the transfer of Vedanta’s oil and gas business as part of a Vedanta demerger.
Following the demerger, CRISIL upgraded the ratings of three Vedanta Group companies to 'AA+'.
Separately, Vedanta Group and Hindustan Zinc plan to invest approximately $500–600 million (reported as ₹5,000 crore) in capital expenditure for new projects.
On the philanthropic front, the Anil Agarwal Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bihar state government on the Nand Ghar initiative, described as focusing on education and women’s empowerment.
Anil Agarwal also met with and praised about 45 Indian startup founders, reportedly saying the country’s future lies in the dreams of its youth.
